ABOUT
DR ROBBIE GLANFIELD
Robbie completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney before moving to Newcastle to begin his career as a junior doctor. He complete his Orthopaedic Surgery training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons across Newcastle, the Hunter, Central Coast and Sydney. After completing training in 2024, he spent a year in Canada, undertaking a Foot and Ankle Fellowship through the University of Calgary.
Robbie has a particular interest in Foot and Ankle surgery - including fractures, arthritis, sports injuries, and deformity. He is also interested in general orthopaedic trauma such as upper and lower limb fractures. He holds on-call positions at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital and John Hunter Hospital, and also operates at Warners Bay Private Hospital and Belmont Hospital.
Robbie is passionate about providing patient-centred care, taking the time to listen and build strong relationships, in order to allow joint decision making regarding the best treatment for each patient. His goal is to help each patient feel understood, supported, and empowered to return to their best level of function.
